Our Safety and Security
In this day and time, safety and security is of the utmost importance, and we here at Step by Step daycare and preschool take this very seriously. We do our absolute best to keep your child safe while they are in our care. Approved caregivers and parents must use a biometric fingerprint scanner every time to pick up their child. Valid ID is required to enter the building when visiting. Bathroom doors remain open at all times. Staff is trained regularly for emergency situations.
All classrooms are equipped with lock-down barriers and blinds for intruders. Alarm systems have distress codes to alert the Hoboken Police Department. There is more than one way to enter and exit a classroom. We have closed-circuit video monitoring of all classrooms and common areas.
